„Volles Programm“-Tour 2012
„Es gibt noch eine Zugabe“, lautete die Überschrift jenes viel beachteten Interviews, das Wolfgang Niedecken Ende vergangenen Jahres dem SPIEGEL gab. Es war die Rückmeldung eines Sängers, der schwer erkrankt war und nun erstmals wieder in die Öffentlichkeit trat. Der Auskunft gab über das, was ihm zugestoßen war, gleichzeitig den Blick aber auch schon wieder nach vorne richtete – eben auf jene „Zugabe“ an Lebenszeit, an Schaffenskraft und Zukunftsgewissheit, die es ermöglicht, dass die „Institution“ BAP, deren „Herz, Hand, Mund und Seele“ (Stern) Niedecken ist, alle im November 2011 ausgefallenen Hallenkonzerte im Frühjahr 2012 nachholen kann. Daran anschließen wird sich eine ausgedehnte Open-Air-Tournee, und auch die verschobene Kölner Lesung aus Niedeckens Autobiographie, dem SPIEGEL-Besteller „Für ‘ne Moment“, wird nachgeholt.
Wenn die Auftritte 2012 unter dem Titel „Volles Programm“ stehen, verweist das nicht nur auf die aktuelle gleichnamige CD-/DVD-Box, die Liveaufnahmen von BAP sowie von Wolfgang Niedecken und der WDR Big Band enthält. Angekündigt wird so auch das, was den Besucher eines BAP-Konzerts schon immer erwartet – eine Mischung aus Klassikern, Fan-Favoriten und neuem Material, etwa vom letztjährigen Studioalbum „Halv su wild“, auf dem, so schrieb die FAZ, „gleich der erste Akkord das ganze BAP-Gefühl weckt“: „Es war und es ist Rockmusik, die einzig mögliche nach Bob Dylan oder den Rolling Stones in Deutschland“. Rockmusik, die ihre Vorbilder nicht verleugnet, immer aber eine ganz eigene Geschichte erzählt. Sie handelt, erst recht 2012, von Unbeugsamkeit, vom Kurs- und vom Standhalten. Und abgefasst ist sie natürlich noch immer im Kölner Dialekt, der in Niedeckens Texten und transportiert von Niedeckens Stimme, „mit der es sich überleben lässt“ (FAZ), längst alle Sprach- und Verständnisgrenzen durchbrochen hat.
Zu Ende gehen wird die Open-Air-Saison mit einer Rückkehr auf die Loreley. Dort, am Rhein-Kilometerstein 555 und in einer der schönsten Freiluftarenen Deutschlands, nahm am 28. August 1982 mit BAP erstmals eine deutsche Band an den europaweit ausgestrahlten „Rockpalast“-Nächten teil. Dreißig Jahre nach diesem Auftritt, der den endgültigen Durchbruch bedeutete, schafft es die Band noch immer, „Nemm mich met“, den Titel eines ihrer bekanntesten Stücke, für die Konzertbesucher mit Leben zu füllen, Abend für Abend. Sie sind eingeladen, sich mitnehmen zu lassen an einen Ort des Luftholens, der Euphorie und des Herausgerissenseins aus dem Alltag.
